Vinyl Windows
Vinyl windows is by far the most popular window material representing about 60% of all installs. Vinyl windows are made largely of high-quality extruded polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Vinyl replacement windows never need painting or sealing. The industry has a saying for this: vinyl is final. Better manufacturers spray foam inside both the frame and sash for added insulating value. Due to welded vinyl frames and engineering design, vinyl windows air leakage numbers are very good.

Wood Clad Windows
Clad-wood windows are made of wood, usually pine, but have a layer of aluminum bonded to the exterior, so they don’t need to be painted or sealed. The interior, which is wood, can be painted or stained to match your décor. Wood Clad windows are the most expensive option but also garner a better resale value.
